A Life Well Lived * 2022-2003 with the Borman Family

As I was developing the concept of A Life Well Lived, I had little children in mind. One of my intents was to capture the breakneck speed of those changes: the evolution of the chubby little to lean toddler to preschooler... So when Joanna approached me about booking for her family, I was initially a little surprised but excited for the challenge. With two middle schoolers and a high schooler, how would their year look?

Sitting down to put the final film together I was struck by the beauty of this season of their lives. Getting to film and witness the opposite end of that childhood spectrum was more wonderful than I expected. What a gift to document these children right as they are becoming young adults. As a parent who will have three in high school next year, I know firsthand how precious these days are and how amazingly fast time travels through these years.

It's rare that I don't finish a shoot or a project and wish I had been able to document my own family in that way, but this one really hit home and reminded me how important it is to keep up with my own children - even, no ESPECIALLY, through this season where they roll their eyes as soon as they see my camera.
